Every storm water pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) begins with the required documentation. The required documentation must meet federal and local requirements.
SWPPP can be confusing and complex but we take care of that for you. Even more confusing is the fact that the city, state, and the federal government all have different requirements that need to be met. Luckily, our years of experience make establishing these plans a breeze!
Failure to follow government laws can result in fines, legal issues, or work stoppages. Our audits provide you peace of mind knowing everything is going smoothly and you are staying compliant!
Lavanta SWPPP services was founded to establish a long-term partnership with builders and developers and give a deeper understanding of SWPPP service that saves you time, money and hassle.

The Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is a Plan written specific to the construction site for land disturbance activities (clearing, grading, or excavation work, and similar activities) that will take place. The Plan includes a personalized SWPPP and project contact information, site map and construction activities descriptions, and identifies potential pollutants in the area and the practices/controls used for preventing pollutants from leaving the site through stormwater runoff. The SWPPP will also describe the procedures involved with inspection and maintenance of BMPs (Best Management Practices), and provides a place for these records as well as amendments and certifications to be kept.
A SWPPP is a requirement by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) or the state's construction general permit. In Utah a SWPPP is required. It is generally required for sites that will disturb 1 acre of land or larger. It can also be required for smaller sites that are part of a larger common plan of development or sale, to obtain coverage under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) for stormwater discharge.
